Is Matt James Engaged? What Spoilers Say About 'The Bachelor' Ending
Newsweek 2hrs ago

Another "most dramatic season of The Bachelor has arrived and like most recent seasons, there's still a lot to be learned. Matt James is holding the roses in 2021. He's the first Black Bachelor, and he's never been in love.

If we know one thing about this franchise, it's that that last line is going to be brought up over and over again.

The Bachelor may seem like an odd place to turn when looking for your first love, but James has ties to the show. His roommate, business partner and best friend Tyler Cameron captured the hearts of American viewers when he fell for Hannah Brown. So, with the close relationship to Cameron, James was a shoo-in for the position even though he'd never been on the series.

So, will James finally fall in love? And will it last?

Many Bachelor franchise series end with an engagement. That's the goal, though not every couple chooses to take the leap to blinged-out commitment. Some simply date post-filming, while others tie the knot quickly.

We can guess that James may take it slow. An engagement doesn't seem out of the question, but if he's truly never been in love, jumping into marriage after a few months of filming reality TV doesn't seem like the best way to go.

Unfortunately, we don't have answers about a possible engagement just yet. Reality Steve is our trusted Bachelor Nation spoiler source, and he has an idea of what happens this season. Still, he's being wary of reporting it as total truth.

In a blog post on Monday, Reality Steve confirmed three of James' final four. They'll be Serena Pitt, Rachael Kirkconnell and Michelle Young. One of these women won't be seen in the first episode, so you'll have to wait a few weeks to meet her.

It seems Kirkconnell and Young will be James' front-runners, and some rumors have it that Kirkconnell will get the final rose.

The reason Reality Steve is doubtful, though? It points back to Peter Weber's season. "Well, if you believe everything coming out of the small town of Cumming, GA, then it's Rachael Kirkconnell. Because for the last month, all I keep being told out of Cumming is that Rachael won, and all her friends and family know and they're telling everyone," he wrote. "Problem is, I heard the same exact thing about Madi during Peter's season. And I never ran with it because I was never convinced it was that easy. And it ended up being wrong anyway."

He continued: "Maybe Rachael did win. All I'm saying is that if she did, she, her family, and her friends are doing an awful job of keeping it secret because word is spreading around Cumming, GA faster than you can shake a stick at."

If James is engaged is unknown. Long gone are the days of googling the Bachelor winner on premiere night, only to watch their love story grow throughout the season. While we have a great start this season, only time will tell if these spoilers hold up. It seems the franchise has been a bit shakier than that of late, and it just makes watching even more fun.
